Even if summer is the most popular season to walk The Way of St. James, you have to be very careful if you are choosing the hottest moths (specially July and August) to do it. The high temperatures will make your way harder, and the risk of sun burns and dehydration, so on those dates make sure you keep yourself hydrated and use sunscream and some hat and clothes to protect you from the sun.
Spring and Autumm are the seasons more recomendable to walk. The temperatures are softer, the roads are not that crowded yet, and the landscape is full of life. Also, most of the acommodations are also open in those seasons, what it might be difficult during winter as some of the accomodations that are found in small villages or rural places shut down due to the lack of visitors.
